Bobcats: re-defining Basketball and Netball on the Peninsula and South East Melbourne.

The Bobcats Sports Club is like no other sports club, simply known as The “Bobcats” we have something for everyone. We currently cater for all of your Basketball and Netball needs. We have our own All Abilities, All Stars program, and have partnered with Ball so Hard, to deliver the best quality, development Academies and Holiday Camps (Basketball). These are the things most other clubs don’t do. We do this because we can, we have great coaches, and the expertise within our Club to run these programs. The Bobcats Netball program is just starting out, and we are looking to field teams in at Casey, Frankston and Mornington. Along with our own NetSetGo program, Holiday Camps and Clinic. These programs are not just for Bobcats members but anyone who enjoys playing basketball or netball.

We try to be more in tune with our younger generation and their expectations. This is why you will see us doing things differently. When Bobcats was started we had a vision to be the largest domestic family oriented basketball club, and today it’s starting to become a reality. Since inception (2013) we have continued to grow to 100+ teams, with many teams in most age groups. We have most recently started Bobcats Netball, and it is our goal to grow this along with our Basketball teams. Making Bobcats the largest sports club in South East Melbourne, and not just on the Peninsula.

In 2015 we were pleased to announce our new Basketball Head Coach in Natalie Porter. Natalie a former Olympian and WNBL player, and also the Director of NPIRE. Natalie has come on board to help the Bobcats Basketball with our Coaches Education Program, assist with training sessions, conduct coaching clinics, and be part of our Academy Program. Natalie has since moved on (2017) to bigger and better things with her own business and has recently been inducted into the Basketball Victoria’s Hall of Fame. We at Bobcats thank her for all of her hard work and help, in develop our players and coaches.

The great thing for Bobcats now is you will also be getting some of the best coaching possible at a domestic level, Natalie’s legacy continues on and Bobcats continue to attract some of the best coaches to coach your kids.

So if you’re looking to join a basketball and netball club that’s family orientated, has a distinct cool orange uniform, great merchandise, and also the best domestic coaches, then look no further and join the Bobcats, you won’t be disappointed.

The Bobcats now playing basketball across 5 associations in the Melbourne South Eastern region, Casey, Dandenong, Frankston, Pakenham and Western Port. Netball at Casey, Frankston and Mornington.

At Bobcats there’s something for everyone!!
